Thank you for purchasing from Ian Murray Photography. My aim is to provide high-quality photographic prints and digital products and to make the ordering process as straightforward as possible.

Please read the following information before placing an order.

PRINT ORDERS

Photographic prints are produced to order. Once your order has been placed and payment completed, the print is ordered from my professional print supplier.

Photographic prints are supplied unframed, giving you the freedom to choose a frame that suits your space. Smaller sizes are carefully packed flat; larger sizes are rolled in a protective tube.

Prints are sent to Ian Murray Photography first so that they can be inspected for quality before being carefully packaged and sent on to you.

Please check that you have selected the correct photograph and print size before completing your purchase.

COLOUR & APPEARANCE

Every effort is made to display photographs accurately on this website.

However, screens and devices display colour, brightness and contrast differently. The finished photographic print may therefore vary slightly from the image as it appears on your screen.

These normal differences between screen display and printed output are not considered faults.

SHIPPING & DELIVERY

Standard postage and packaging are included in the print price, with no additional delivery charge.

As prints are produced to order and inspected before being sent to you, please allow approximately 5–10 working days for production, inspection and dispatch.

Orders placed over weekends or Bank Holidays may take a little longer.

Once dispatched, delivery times depend on the postal service and destination.

CANCELLATIONS & RETURNS

I hope you will be completely happy with your purchase.

For eligible goods purchased online, you have the right to cancel your order within 14 days of receiving it without giving a reason.

If you wish to cancel and return an eligible print, please contact me at [email protected] within 14 days of receiving your order.

After notifying me that you wish to cancel, the item should be returned within 14 days. Unless the item is faulty, damaged or incorrectly supplied, you are responsible for the cost of returning it.

Returned prints should be kept in good condition and packaged carefully to prevent damage in transit.

Where a cancellation right applies, refunds will be made in accordance with your statutory rights, including the applicable standard delivery charge.

Personalised or custom-made products may not have the same cancellation rights where an exemption provided by consumer law applies.

Please note that choosing the wrong photograph or print size does not remove any statutory cancellation rights that apply to your purchase.

Nothing in these Terms and Conditions affects your statutory rights.

DAMAGED, FAULTY OR INCORRECT ORDERS

Every print is inspected before dispatch. However, if your order arrives damaged, is faulty, or you receive the wrong item, please contact me as soon as possible at:

Please include your order details and, where possible, photographs showing the problem or damage. This will help me resolve the issue quickly.

Where goods are faulty, damaged or not as described, your statutory consumer rights apply.

COPYRIGHT & OWNERSHIP

All photographs and images displayed or sold by Ian Murray Photography remain the copyright and intellectual property of Ian Murray Photography unless otherwise stated.

Purchasing a physical print gives you ownership of that individual physical print. It does not transfer copyright or any other intellectual property rights in the photograph.

You may:

• display your purchased print in your home, office or business premises;
• give the original physical print to another person; and
• resell the original physical print.

You may not, without prior written permission:

• copy, scan or reproduce the photograph;
• create additional prints or digital copies from the print;
• sell, distribute or license copies of the photograph;
• use the photograph in advertising, marketing, publishing, merchandise or other commercial material;
• upload or distribute a high-resolution reproduction of the photograph;
• modify or create commercial derivative works from the photograph; or
• use the photograph, or permit it to be used, for training artificial intelligence or machine-learning systems.

The right to gift or resell a print applies only to the original physical item purchased. It does not give the purchaser the right to reproduce the photograph or sell copies of it.

SHARING YOUR PRINT ONLINE

You are welcome to share photographs showing your purchased print displayed in your home, office or other setting on social media.

Where possible, a credit to Ian Murray Photography is appreciated.

This permission does not allow the original photograph itself to be scanned, copied, reproduced or uploaded in high resolution.

DIGITAL DOWNLOADS

Unless expressly stated otherwise, digital products purchased from Ian Murray Photography are licensed for personal, non-commercial use only.

Copyright remains with Ian Murray Photography.

You may not:

• sell or redistribute the digital file;
• transfer or supply the file to another person;
• upload the original file for others to download;
• create products or prints for resale from the file;
• use the image for advertising, marketing or other commercial purposes; or
• use the image, or permit it to be used, for AI or machine-learning training.

Where a digital product is supplied for immediate download, you may be asked during checkout to consent to the download beginning immediately and to acknowledge the effect this has on your statutory cancellation rights.

COMMERCIAL & EDITORIAL LICENSING

The purchase of a photographic print or personal digital download does not include commercial or editorial reproduction rights.

If you would like to license one of my photographs for purposes such as:

• editorial or publishing use;
• websites or marketing;
• commercial advertising;
• book or album covers;
• product packaging;
• corporate use; or
• other commercial projects,

Licensing terms and fees will be agreed separately depending on the intended use.

PAYMENT

Payment is processed securely by the payment provider shown during checkout.

Ian Murray Photography does not receive or store your full payment card details.

Your name, contact information and delivery address are used as necessary to process and fulfil your order.

PRIVACY

Personal information provided when placing an order is used to process and fulfil your purchase and to communicate with you about your order.

Information may be shared with service providers where necessary to process payment, produce your order or arrange delivery.
